Geri assisted me and my fiancee with our first home purchase. Being first time home buyers, we were quite overwhelmed with the process. Geri was extremely helpful with explaining every step of the process and offering appropriate suggestions when needed.

My fiancee and I preferred to shop for houses using online resources. Geri assisted us with this by pointing us to various sites and checking into the properties herself when we had questions. This worked out really well for us, as we only ended up looking at properties that we were already interested in. At no time did Geri push properties on us or hound us about a find she had made on her own. It was a very relaxed shopping experience that ran at our pace. On top of that, Geri was available at all hours of the day via email and phone to answer questions and setup showings.

When the time came to make an offer and start the buying process, Geri helped facilitate everything. She scanned and emailed documents to get them to us quickly and moved along to the appropriate parties. When there were issues with the seller, she stepped in and handled them on our behalf. From inspections, to appraisals, to insurance, Geri helped us every step of the way.

In a word, Geri is INCREDIBLE! My family and I were only in town for a week and Geri completely dedicated herself to us each morning during our stay. She showed us almost 30 houses and helped us write an offer before leaving town. Geri consistently exceeded my expectations... she met with inspectors and took care of everything we needed right up through closing and beyond! In fact, she is still helping us with contractors and the like.

Geri is a gem and a joy to work with and I can't say enough positive things about her! If you're looking for property anywhere in Sarasota County, Geri is definitely the one to call... especially if you're from out of town and unfamiliar with the area.

Geri is an exceptionally hard working agent. She goes out of her way to make her clients feel very welcomed and comfortable, she is not pushy. She sits with the clients to find out their preferences and what they are looking for. Geri is very well prepared when she takes clients to viewings. She provides the clients with a portfolio of potential homes to view, with any special features of the home highlighted. When taking clients to viewings, she has mapped out the viewings so no time is wasted. She is very flexible to change should the clients want to view other properties not on the agenda for the day. She keeps the comfort of her clients in mind, she carries bottled water and snacks with her in case clients get hungry or thirsty. Once the viewings have been completed for the day, she then returns to the office to book viewings for the next day or to look at more listings for the clients. When viewing the homes Geri suggests that you take notes on the listing of each home in order to remember what you liked or did not like about each home. We are from Canada and only had a short period of time to view homes. She spent a week with us and we viewed many houses. Geri made the process very easy and enjoyable. If you have any concerns or questions, Geri is there to answer them day or night. Purchasing our new home was made so much easier, thanks to Geri.

We were moving from OH to FL with 3 small children. Very nervous about the move. FL was an unknown to us. Geri immediately took us under her wing and helped us find our dream home. She spent endless days with us. During negotiations we would speak to her at midnight if needed. I could reach her any day, almost any hour. She has become a true friend. We even called her when our car battery died (we had already purchased our home-so she did not need to help) , she came immediately, with a smile on her face and helped us. Geri Scheckner is not the typical realtor, she is down to earth, extremely easy to talk to, wants what you want and has a massive heart! It took us 5 different realtors before finding this gem=Geri Scheckner.
